Ive recently bought guild wars in the last 2 weeks.
mid-way through my first week i chose to try and find some new people.

Me and My friends run this guild and i try to explain to them that getting new ppl for the guild is hard work.

some people want offers for a guilds(around 2-3K). Now I think this is alitte messed up.. They can take ur money join the guild then leave.Ive found that Noobs are the easyiest to pick up.(all for the cloak)

Does this happen to any other guildies out there. Got any tips?

Paying someone to join your guild? Now that's funny. I can be a guild wh0re if the price is high enough.

Tips?
- Don't recruit on the street (town spam) or you'll gather more morons than decent people.
- If someone wants to join, don't invite him until you know he'll blend nicely into your guild.
- Want an elite PvP guild? Win the arena/tombs/gvg and impress potential recruits with your ubber ladder rank and your stock of sigils.
- Want a relaxed PvE/RP guild? Show how friendly, helpful and relaxed your guildies can be.
- A website and most importantly a forum can help advertise your guild, even if they are not mandatory

Good guilds are not assortment of random players, they are small groups of people with a common profile or interest or objective. In a few words: define your guild, and advertize it acordingly. What's so appealing with your guild? Why would I want to join your guild more than 12432 zillion others?

If you think it's too much work (it often is), and if you want to be in a large and rich & powerful guild, just convince your friends to join a bigger guild.

I'm looking to make a general guild FAQ. It would have all those tips as well stated, as well as more. Inde forwarded to me THX, but I never got a reply. :/ Maybe we could all make one, and make it so rediculously good that it has to be stickied! Also, somewhere on page two there's a help post where people gave a lot of tips. I'll try and find it.
